Strengthening the people and the organizations who serve in crisis. We provide trauma recovery training so front line workers can stay clear, steady, and effective under pressure.
Founded by Emma M. Churchman LLC. The Chrysalis Alliance is an independent 501(c)(3nonprofit governed by its Board of Directors
We help the disaster response and recovery service providers build the internal capacity to lead, serve, and recover themselves and the people they serve well.
We do this through certifying service providers through the Trauma Recovery Certification Program® and offering scholarship (or cost-share) funded access for the service providers and organizations that need it.

Trauma-informed recovery training designed for real-time application in high-stakes environments.
Field-ready tools that support decision-making, communication, and emotional regulation under stress
Implementation resources that help teams apply skills immediately - not months later
Ethical, trauma-informed scope with clear boundaries, safety guidance, and referral best practices
Four-Phase Methodology that aligns with the FEMA + NVOAD Models

We support service providers working in:
Disaster response and recovery
Long-term recovery groups (LTRGs)
Volunteer and faith-based response networks
Community-based relief and resilience organizations
Businesses serving traumatized communities and front line workforces

We focus on what holds up in the field: clear frameworks, repeatable tools, and ethical application.
Real-time usability: Tools that can be used during response—not just after
Ethical scope: Safety, boundaries, and responsible practice
Measurable outcomes: Practical improvements in clarity, communication, and team sustainability
"Our organization participated in this program after seeing how unrecognized trauma-response activation can create real setbacks in relationship management. We’ve gained daily validation and confidence in acknowledging trauma responses and improving because of that awareness. We recommend this program to any disaster-response professional working in response and/or recovery who wants to broaden their ability to support partners and survivors impacted by disaster - exponentially."

"After deployments, our organization saw how hard it can be to come home and release the trauma absorbed in the field - especially as disasters grow larger and the health impact accumulates. The certification program gave our team practical regulation tools we now use consistently, helping us slow down, refocus, and recover faster. We’ve developed clearer boundaries and quicker stabilization. We recommend this program to any disaster-response professional who works with survivors - or is a survivor who wants to manage triggers quickly and stay present with those they serve."
